Dylan McLachlan is the name behind dead.endless. born in CA, moving to TX as a child, and returning to CA in their early 20's, Dylan didn't fully come into their fashion self until they made it to Oregon at the end of 2021. a $150 sewing machine and a few garments brute-forced into existence confirmed the passion was real. working on their first brand helped them understand there was a lot more to learn and in early 2024, they enrolled in the AAS program at Portland Fashion Institute. Dylan has spent their time in school honing their craft, defining their aesthetic, and crystallizing their fashion worldview.
dead.endless was born out of a desire to turn what has been discarded into lifelong treasures. in a fashion ecosystem that seems determined to create more waste than ever at unimaginable economic, ecological, and human cost, dead.endless takes time to humanely create unique 1 of 1 items from repurposed textiles that would’ve otherwise been donated, disposed of, or similarly cast out of the wear cycle. distressed by all the waste that the season-based fashion industry currently produces, dead.endless seeks to curtail that which piles up in landfills or gets dumped in the global south by committing to a minimum of 85% reclaimed textile in all pieces. the name dead.endless comes from this commitment: taking what was considered a dead piece and using it to create something new, different, and…endless.
thrifted jeans, hoodies, sweatpants, curtains, and more are used to create pieces made with care and precision. 'slow fashion' is a term that can seem cringe at times, but that’s exactly what dead.endless is: 1 person creating the designs, drafting the patterns, and sewing the pieces. quality construction, gender inclusivity, and circularity are hallmarks of the dead.endless ethos.
created and constructed in-house at the dead.endless studio, located in Portland, OR. ethically sourced, ideated, and made, wearers of dead.endless are on the frontlines of the sustainable fashion revolution. there’s no suffering in the making of these pieces, only joy.
